#lifelessons101 – My top five personal growth reads for 2020

Jim Rohn said“Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.” —and I completely agree. Which is why one of my favorite December traditions is to  treat myself to some life inspiration ready for the new year. If you are looking for some great personal growth inspiration for 2020 here is my top five reads to get you ready to transform your life in the new year!

Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

The happiness project is a personal account of Gretchen Rubin’s year-long Happiness Project. What I love about this book is that Rubin shows her successes failures and gives practical inspiration to create your own happiness project.

This is my top pick for life transformation as it really refocuses you on what is truly important to you in life.

The Subtle Art of Not giving a F*ck by Mark Manson

Mark Manson has been a great inspiration to me on my personal growth journey. So I was really excited to read this one. The premis of the book is that we spend too much time ‘giving a fuck’ about things that don’t really matter and inspires the reader to reserve their energy for ‘giving a fuck’ for the things in life that matter for us.

This is a great book to help you get in touch with your integrity

How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

An oldie but a goodie. Dale Carnegie takes us through proven practices to succeeding in business and personal relationships as a pathway to success. It may have been written in the late 1930’s but it is still relevant today.

This one is brilliant for managers, team leaders and for those of you who find making relationships challenging.
